Sturt House

  • provides voluntary short term crisis accommodation for men over the age of 18 years who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless
  • is a communal living environment and is drug and alcohol free which supports a “zero tolerance” policy
  • shared rooms
  • is not a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre or detoxification centre
  • staff are on the premises during the day from Monday to Friday
  • staff are available on call on weekends, public holidays and nights
  • length of stay is dependent on individual needs and is negotiated with the manager, normally a maximum of 3 months
  • Case Management is available to assist service users
  • staff can assist in accessing other available services and in setting and achieving short term goals
